When I hired my cover designer, Corina Alvarez Loeblich, I got a whole lot more than art! Putting the feelers out for an artist was the scariest part. I was afraid I’d get spammed with Canva designs (I did), or find a legit artist who I loved that would cost a fortune.
I’m happy to say I found a legit artist who charges appropriately. Well, really she kind of found me. Corina told me she didn’t often reply to authors’ pleas for artists online but something in my post grabbed her.
Because she has a ton of experience working with both indie-pubbing authors and traditional publishing houses, Corina not only knew how to design a full wrap jacketed cover, paperback and ebook covers, she formatted the entire book from copyright to acknowledgements, right down to the fonts and page numbers to match industry standards. She even came up with an adorable little map and a brilliant concept of symbols for chapter headings that harkens to ancient peoples and, ahem, aliens.

But without further ado:

Thank you Corina, for your incredible talent and insight on this project. I’m so happy we are having a book baby together and I hope for future collaboration.

Friends, let me know when you spot the secret in the corn. ;-)
Love it, congrats!
