Thanks for this update. Thinking of you often. I know you're about to start teaching, but if you ever want to go for a walk along the river or something let me know.
you are making poetry out of it...even in the midst of burned out batteries and obstructed paths and all of the uncertainties of this horrible trauma...thank you for continuing to shine your light even more broadly for the rest of us to bathe in... thinking of you daily
thank you, for answering what could not be asked, for reminding me of all the times i walked with a dead flashlight and managed a path forward, for being. and if it’s not too personal, wishing you and your family love and strength, and look forward to the next time our paths cross.
So many times with a dead flashlight. I hear that. I'm going to start using that full picture in my own classes--it's really a better metaphor. When our paths cross I hope it's with a lot of light, otherwise, ouch!

I'd love that. I'll only be teaching on Mondays so until I find a second job, pretty wide open. :)
Cool. Most any Tuesday or Thursday would work for me:)
Congratulations. You have won The Rebecca Dykes Writers Scholarship for the our next retreat in April 2024 at Highlights. Www.rebeccadykeswriters.org
Jane, What?!
Tell you more later. I know that Heather D has designs on you too!
Basically, I’d love you to be able to join the Rebecca Dykes Writers Retreat in April 2024 at Highlights.
I'd love that.
I love seeing you write and I look forward to these “newsletters” via substack
Originally it was a real newsletter, meant to help promote books, talk about publishing and literary things... but it quickly morphed.
It will be "real" again soon enough but for now, it's honest and very thought provoking
