I am two years behind you and am also more serious about the gym this year :) same as you with valuing strength now above skinniness. Due to my work schedule only two days a week will be possible (weekends), but, again, like you, I have learned to love that gym time, crave it, even. My word for 2025 is GERMINATE. Let's have a power year!!!

Ooo, great word! We both started taking it more seriously at 48! Even two days is better than nothing. I'm working from home (not enough), so my schedule is very flexible right now and i"m taking advantage of it. But I wish I'd had this motivation when I was younger, or had the motivation to do it from home more. I feel like unless you were a young athlete, it's really hard to get into! This theater kid was decidedly NOT athletic...haha! And my body is so sore everyday, but it feels great and everytime my routine gets interrupted I get frustrated, so I know I"m on the right track! Power year, yes!!

I love your word for the year: LESS. Sounds peaceful :) . My word for 2025 is TRANSMUTE. And 50 rocks!! My 50s are the best time of my life. I'm finally coming into my own power--seems like you are too! But YES, more work to keep the body going. LOL. I do yoga, yoqi, aerobics, walks, weights--and trying to shed the weight and quit that beer each night. I vividly remember your 40th bday! What fun that was. Wishing you a spectacular 2025!

Ooo...that's a loaded word, I like it! I want my 50's to be just that, so approaching it with better health all around seems right. And to have actual muscles!? That's new! I want more of them! haha! Wishing you a wonderful 2025 also. Hope to see you this year--maybe a book event even!
